What Should We Do If Chromecast Icon Doesn’t Appear?

 

For androids: 

Every android has Google Play Services installed on it by default. Google Play Services permits your phone to upgrade latest version of applications without upgrading to latest version of android system.

1.  If Google Play Services on your android phone is not of latest version, then you have to upgrade  it in device settings.
2.  Make sure that Google Cast App installed on your android should be of latest version. Visit www Chromecast com setup to upgrade the app.

• Open Play Store on your device.
  
  
• Tap menu button and then tap My Apps and Games.
•  If any update is available then update Google Cast.

3.  Your android device and Chromecast device should be connected on same Wi-Fi network.
4.  Now plug in your Chromecast device into the HDMI port of your HD TV and powered it through USB port.
5.  With the help of TV remote switch your TV input to Chromecast device.
6.  If your Chromecast device is properly set up, then network’s name will appear on the screen of your TV.  To setup your Chromecast device go to Chromecast setup and follow the instructions.

For iPhones and iPads: 

1. Make sure that your iPhone or iPads have latest version of Google Cast app installed on them.

• Open app store on your iPhone or iPad.
• Open updates
• Install updates if available

2. Make sure that your Chromecast device and iPhone should be connected on same Wi-Fi network.
3. Plug your Chromecast device into the HDMI port of your TV. Go to www Chromecast com to know more about Chromecast.
4. By using the remote of TV switch your TV input to Chromecast.
5. If your Chromecast device is properly setup and connected to Wi-Fi network, the name will appear on TV screen.

For web browser:  

1. Make sure that Google Cast is properly installed and activated on your web browser.
2. Your pc and your Chromecast device should be connected to same Wi-Fi network.
3. Plug in your Chromecast device into the HDMI port of your HDTV and powered it through USB port. It is very simple to plug in the device.
4. Switch your HDTV input to your Chromecast device. Now your HDTV will show a message ‘Set Me Up’ on your screen and also show a URL to start the setup. Setup Chromecast will give us all information regarding installation.
5. Chromecast app will detect all the Chromecasts available nearby automatically. Now you can select your Chromecast from the list and try to connect it to your Wi-Fi connection.
6. When you will select the Chromecast, your device will try to connect it. The four character code will appear on the screen, it should match the code with your device in the setup software. If the code is same then click the correct box to step forward.
7. The app will connect to your device’s Wi-Fi network automatically. Enter the password of your Wi-Fi network and it will connect to the network.
8. Once your Chromecast device is setup and connected to Wi-Fi network, the name of network will appear on the screen of your TV.
