Being an HBO subscriber, if you are still not clear about HBO GO and HBO NOW services, then check out the points below to get the best way to stream HBO.

All HBO users, how is it going with your HBO’s service? Undoubtedly, you must be having a great time streaming the best hits on your big screen. In the cord-cutting trend, HBO is one of the strong contender who has anticipated the cord-cutting market with its two classic services- HBO GO and HBO NOW. Unless, being an HBO subscriber, there are chances that you still don’t understand the differences between these two identical services. Still, if you are looking out the best way to stream HBO, then check out the following points to remove your doubts regarding these two services.

Both the services contain the same content. All the latest and past TV series and movies are always ready to stream on your big screen, no matter whichever service you are accessing. Every app has got a section of “Featured” content section that renders the ability to know about the standout releases, and with the “Just Added” section, you can get the latest happenings on HBO. In short, HBO GO is a streaming service which directly connects you to the pre-existing package of HBO from your cable provider. It just permits you to watch out the HBO on-demand from any of the devices you buy.

While HBO NOW is slightly different from the streaming service (HBO GO). It’s a standalone service that everyone can easily sign up, whether they have the cable or not.

Factors to differentiate-
1)      Price- The cost of HBO GO depends upon the cable provider. Some of the cable providers may provide you HBO GO free for a year or two. While in some of the areas, it can be still like $10 or $20 according to the current service and package. Besides this, HBO NOW is available on $14.99 a month. It is available for everyone who signs up, not for the existing cable subscribers.

2)      Services and Devices- Initially, HBO GO was only available for iOS and Apple device, but now it has expanded to every platform out there. Both the services do not work with the TiVo or Microsoft Edge, so if you have these platforms as the main viewing source, then you will wish to consider HBO GO. Apart from this, HBO NOW can also be accessed within the Hulu streaming apps and Amazon Prime as an add-on if you don’t wish to switch to a new app. You can also have the service (HBO NOW) through Roku, Chromecast, and Amazon Fire TV Stick as well as gaming consoles including PS4 and Xbox one.  If you go for the $14.99 a month for the service, you will miss out the HBO’s interface.

While in the case of HBO GO, you will need to have a deal with your cable company. Once you have set up the HBO subscription, you will require downloading the app to your device. After this, you can easily access the service with your satellite provider or the cable and then enter a code to register the device. In the case of HBO NOW, there is a simple process which involves making an account, then sign-in with your credentials and then start streaming. Besides this, three people can only access the service at once, no matter where they are using they are located and which device they are using.

3)      HBO GO or HBO NOW- Which one can be better for you?

It solely depends whether you have got a cable or not. Well, there are lesser issues in the setting up of HBO GO, which can be the better choice to negotiate with your cable or satellite provider to get the HBO on the lower price ($15/month).  If you don’t get the $15 lower price deal, then signing up for HBO NOW could be a better option. And if you require accessing HBO for a month, then HBO NOW is the better choice for you.

Still, HBO is making efforts to render you the same quality experience with both the services as long as you are paying for it.
