Roku, leading
manufacturer of streaming players announced that customers may face temporary
issues with their service. Roku confirmed that customers should expect
temporary blackout on August 11. They said customers can stream on channels
they have installed earlier but cannot add new channels on Thursday due to
temporary issues.
Roku suggest
their users to add new channels like ABC15 before temporary blackout. To add
this channel users have to log into their Roku account and select ‘Add a
Channel’. Search for ABC15. The channel will appear to My Channels in Roku channel
store and on Roku player home screen within 24 hours. Customers will not able
to activate new devices or make purchases on Thursday due to maintenance work
for few hours.

menu and select ‘disable network pings’. By doing this you should be able to
connect your Wi-Fi network.

Update software: If you do not
find disable network pings in the menu then update the software of your
device. To update software connect your
device to another network and run a software update. Roku will automatically
install the updated software. After installation, device will reboot
automatically.

Disable network pings: After
software update, repeat ‘disable network ping’ option again. Once you have
disabled network pings you should be able to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
